d'ope!

Did your child go through this phase?

Levi had about a five day period of constantly sucking on his bottom lip.

I'm so glad I got some photos... ridiculous and funny.

But I'm also glad this wasn't a lasting habit. Not a good look for a teenager.

Dear mommy-friends, what do you think? Teething? Or just another random baby phase?

still giggling,

Oh yes! Bennett sucked on his bottom lip for several weeks! But interestingly enough, one of my FAVORITE photos of him was when he was sucking on his bottom lip. I even framed it and put it on the wall. Ha ha.
Love Levi's sunglasses, too! :-)

hmmm... I thought it was just Josselyn who did this. So glad it wasn't just her! I don't know what it is. She now has two bottom teeth and doesn't do it anymore. I wonder...

I say teething! My little gal does that too and I'm starting to hear that babies are actually feeling the discomfort of teeth long before the teeth pop through..maybe his gummies hurt?? I don't know:-0 Sure looks cute though!

Murphy Man did the sucking on his lip thing for a while. He still does it every once in a while. Your little guy looks so cute in those glasses. Like Maverick in Top Gun! LOL!

It could be teething. My little Deano did this as well. But now that he as his teeth he no longer does it...his new thing is to stick his tongue out. I'm pretty sure he is feeling his teeth with it. It's pretty cute but also not a good look for a teenager lol

Teething!!! kingston is constently doing this and gets little baby zits from always having it wet. But then again there are no teethies at all?? When they suck like that it adds pressure to their gums.

His glasses are soo cute! You are Lucky that he keeps them on.

Yes! But I don't think it was teething, I think it was from discovering his lips and mouth. Which makes it even cuter!

Thanks for the sweet comment! I would have to go with teething for sure. His gums are probably itching him like crazy and well, maybe that look is what's making him feel better. lol. Cute pics!

My son does this all the time--we call it his pterodactyl lip. He's been doing it for months and months. So cute :)

My oldest did that for the first 2 years of his life. It was comforting for him...he didn't suck his thumb or take a pacifier so he sucked on his lower lip. He's since grown out of it, thankfully!
