I do have family in South Africa - and Aunt and cousins. They haven't seen her yet except through pictures and that's okay.

I have a friend with grandparents far away though and they swear by Skype. She jokes her baby is going to be very tech savvy by this time next year. He also plays on an Ipad.

We use it to keep up with my brother and sister-in-law in Hawaii, to check up on my in-laws in China as they finish up their adoption, and to keep in touch with my parents while we're going to school in Corvallis. Pretty soon, we're going to use it to see "O Ju-Ju" aka-Uncle Jordon, as he goes to AIT over in Virginia!

Technology is wonderful and makes the miles seem so small :)

We use Skype to talk to grandma. I also occasionally use Readeo because we won a subscription to it. It's pretty neat to be able to read books with grandma over the internet.
