Levi had about a five day period of constantly sucking on his bottom lip.
I'm so glad I got some photos... ridiculous and funny.
But I'm also glad this wasn't a lasting habit. Not a good look for a teenager.
Dear mommy-friends, what do you think? Teething? Or just another random baby phase?
still giggling,

Oh yes! Bennett sucked on his bottom lip for several weeks! But interestingly enough, one of my FAVORITE photos of him was when he was sucking on his bottom lip. I even framed it and put it on the wall. Ha ha.
ReplyDeleteLove Levi's sunglasses, too! :-)
hmmm... I thought it was just Josselyn who did this. So glad it wasn't just her! I don't know what it is. She now has two bottom teeth and doesn't do it anymore. I wonder...
ReplyDeleteI say teething! My little gal does that too and I'm starting to hear that babies are actually feeling the discomfort of teeth long before the teeth pop through..maybe his gummies hurt?? I don't know:-0 Sure looks cute though!
ReplyDeleteMurphy Man did the sucking on his lip thing for a while. He still does it every once in a while. Your little guy looks so cute in those glasses. Like Maverick in Top Gun! LOL!
ReplyDeleteIt could be teething. My little Deano did this as well. But now that he as his teeth he no longer does it...his new thing is to stick his tongue out. I'm pretty sure he is feeling his teeth with it. It's pretty cute but also not a good look for a teenager lol
ReplyDeleteTeething!!! kingston is constently doing this and gets little baby zits from always having it wet. But then again there are no teethies at all?? When they suck like that it adds pressure to their gums.
ReplyDeleteHis glasses are soo cute! You are Lucky that he keeps them on.
I thought it was just Serenity, I think it is teething, she has had two pop through in as many weeks. I love your pics of your little guy, he is adorable!! Stop by Chasing Serenity and claim your BLOG AWARD!! :-) I love your blog!

Have a great week!

Yes! But I don't think it was teething, I think it was from discovering his lips and mouth. Which makes it even cuter!
ReplyDeleteProbably just another phase! They are always exploring!!
ReplyDeleteZachary will do this occasionally too, comes and goes!
Just a phase!!
ReplyDeleteAnd that first picture...PRICELESS!!!
Woah!! HOW PRECIOUS!! :D
ReplyDeleteThanks for the sweet comment! I would have to go with teething for sure. His gums are probably itching him like crazy and well, maybe that look is what's making him feel better. lol. Cute pics!
ReplyDeleteMy son does this all the time--we call it his pterodactyl lip. He's been doing it for months and months. So cute :)
ReplyDeleteMy oldest did that for the first 2 years of his life. It was comforting for him...he didn't suck his thumb or take a pacifier so he sucked on his lower lip. He's since grown out of it, thankfully!
